Some of these bills are personally guaranteed under my name ($72,000). There are a few companies that are suing me and I found out the police are looking for me to serve me supeonas. I contacted a couple lawyers and they said the only thing I can do is declare both business and personal bankruptcies. In order to do this, it will cost me around $5000 and the lawyers want $3350 up front to get started. I maxed out all my credit cards and I have no savings. I just got a full-time job, but right now I am struggling to pay for my mortgage and other bills. I can't even afford to pay the lawyers to get started on the bankruptcies, so I don't know what I'm going to do. If you know of any lawyers that are willing to start the bankruptcies under installment payments and nothing down or if you would like to donate to my situation, I would really appreciate any help you can give. Rachel's help said...: My wife and I adopted Rachel in 2002, when we both were working as Police Officers. We knew she had Spina-Bifida when we adopted her and wanted to provide her with a loving home. My wife had to quit to take care of her, then I suffered an off duty back injury and was let go after 18 years of service. Since then we have lost our home, I have found employment but it is not near what I made then. My wife works , but since Rachel is sick alot, she misses alot too and does not get paid. We are both hard working and do not regret adopting Rachel at all. Her smile keeps us going. She has a list of medical problems and is only 5 years old, due to a hormonal imbalance she was on steroids and is now 88lbs. It is all we can do to lift her in the car or out of the tub. My boyfriend and I are in a very desperate situation and have no where else to turn. I'm a recent college grad who's not been able to land permanent employment yet. Our problems stem from 1 or 2 years ago. My boyfriend was unemployed for a while and received unemployment compensation from the state. After he found a job, he was told he had to repay the compensation, but then he lost the job he had. Since then, he has been unable to make any payments.

He recently relocated out of town for a family emergency and decided to move back a couple months ago. He has been unable to find a job for several months because of the unemployment repayment issue on his record. It's reported as fraud and no one will even give him an interview because of it. How is it possible to repay if it's keeping him from getting a job? Without a job, he hasn't been able to pay rent, phone bill, or even buy groceries for months. It has caused irreconcilable conflict within his family.

I'm usually the one who helps him when he's in need, but I'm at the point where I can't afford it anymore. While struggling with my own bills and helping my boyfriend, my car caught on fire and I had to use an entire paycheck to get another one. I had no savings when this happened and am now behind on every bill I have. Everytime I get a paycheck, I have to choose which single bill I can afford. After buying a small amount of groceries, my whole check is gone. That doesn't even include credit card debt, phone bill, etc. I am one check away from being homeless. No one will give me a loan because I have very little credit, and the credit I do have are past due accounts. This is very sad and I never thought I'd be in a situation like this. Please help. It is heartbreaking when my daughter needs shoes and clothes and I am unable to because I just don't have it. My mom buys a good majority of her clothes. Whenever I need diapers or formula, she is there to buy them for me.
My husband has owned his own business since 1996 but things are slowly but surely going downhill. He doesn't have much business which means and I am the main money maker. I can no longer afford to pay for daycare, expenses for the baby, food for the house, cars, insurance, etc. I have fallen behind now and have no way to get ahead. Within the last month, my credit score has gone from over 600 to below 500 now. I'm not sure how I will EVER fix that but...

I am a widowed mother of two teen girls. My husband died last year because of Hepatitis C. After several years of being ill and a liver transplant, My husband was in the hospital awaiting his second liver transplant when he died. Because he had not been able to work we had no life insurance so I was left with a mountain of debt and only one income.

Almost one year to the day my nephew was killed in a car accident. I took of a week off work with my supervisors approval, to help my sister making arrangements and to get through this tough time. My employers sent food and flowers for the fureral. When I went back the next week I was told that I no longer had a job. That "home office" did not authorize my leave, because my nephew was not Immediate family. I used what little cash I had and a credit card to help pay for the funeral. and now I had no job.
I had a really hard time finding work, so I relied on credit cards and got behind in my bills.
I finally found a job but it was at less money than I had previously made, and I just can't get caught up. I am living shutoff to shutoff.
Now its almost December and along with my other bills, my property taxes and car registration are now due. Not to mention Christmas.
I can manage my bills on what I make, I just can't get caught up.

My girls have not had anything for Christmas for the last 3-4 years due to high medical bills from my husbands illness. They have not even asked for anything this year, and that really breaks my heart, because it means they are not expecting to get anything.
They have been through so much in the last couple of years, but expecially this last year. They both need basic things like clothing, shoes, jackets.

Please if there is anyone who could donate even a little, know that it is being used by a family that has gone through some very tough times and is just trying make it. I have always tried to help where I could, so please know that I will pay it forward.

We decided several years back to build our own house in the country. We struggled with planning regulations, unreliable builders(they have far too much work to choose from in Celtic Tiger Ireland), suppliers not to mention raising the finance. About a year ago the building was approaching a close when I was dealt the body-blow of being made redundant when the company I worked for closed their European operations. Money was very tight, and to get the house semi-habitable, we ran up personal loans, bank loans and credit card debt. We moved in about 7 months back. We've very happy there.

I however, now have lawyers threatening me about these various loans and telling me that I should sell the house If I can\'t repay them. It will devastate my family and I if we have to sell after all we have endured.

I am working 9-5, unfortunately for less money that I once was. (There has been an influx of cheap labour into this country lately
which has reduced wage-rates.) I freelance as much as I possibly can - often working at night until the sun comes up. I have come to the
conclusion however that I cannot ever clear these debts without some assistance.

I would ask you, if you can spare anything, to please make a small donation. I cannot offer you anything except that you will be remembered in
my daily prayers. Hopefully the Almighty will give you your reward.

When I was released my son was starting the 7th grade. My dad was very ill and passed away 6 months after I got out. My mom has cancer and is still raising my son (he is now 15) because that has been his home for so long and he doesn't want to leave grandma all by herself.

We have a wonderful relationship.

I have no medical insurance. I am applying for food stamps. I haven't had cable for over a year. I don't go out to eat. I don't go to bars. I don't live in a fancy apartment. I haven't bought new clothes in over 2 years. I am just trying to make my way through life the best I can.

Due to my conviction, it is very hard for me to get a job. I look for work every day. I will take any job offered to me.

I do have health problems, depression, migraines, tendinitis, anxiety, arthritis. So a lot of jobs I cannot not do, but I try. I really do try.

I am trying to sell what I have that may be of some value to someone else. But I really don't have much.

I don't know what else to do.

If any one can help me, I would truly appreciate it.

Well could not do it because I have alot of chemo brain fog, which is where you can not multitask, you sometimes get confused and can not remember things. Have to carry a paper with me that has my name, address, how to get home and phone number just in case I forget or my mind goes blank. Anyway started looking for a different job and found out I have to get a biobsy of my uterus and ovaries on the 11th. Which means another surgery more than likely. Hopefully there is no cancer, am praying. My husband is working 2 full time jobs but it just is not enough for a family of 4 with all these medical bills piling up. Am behind on rent and pretty much everything. So I wish that I would have enough money to get caught up and maybe pays some of these doctor bills off with a little left over for something like dinner out for my hubby and kids or a movie. I would love to go back to work and have looked at courses that would lead me to work that I could do from home, such as book-keeping, as a single mum I need to work from home, but the problem is I cannot afford course fees until my debts are clear. So if some kind soul out there could even donate as little as $1, or maybe even more, then I can clear debts and sort my life out for my daughter and I. I do not know how much longer I can keep this up and dread to think what my situation will be in six months time if things carry on this way. I am a clean person, but it just always gets abcessed and my internal organs slip into it sometimes. I admit it is for asthetic reasons that I want it removed, but it is also because it gets painful at times. I feel stupid asking for someone out there to pay for it, I mean, I can't pay for it even if I had the money for it is illegal for a doctor to make a medicaid patient to pay for something, but someone else could. My family doesn't have the money, we are all lower middle class, and I am just a down to earth Christian girl who is a good mother doing the best she can. I don't want to be a bikini model, I just want to look human again. I would help anyone I can in any way I can. I do for others because I have had so much done for me. My babies are the most important thing in my life, and even though it was the 2 pregnancies (they were big babies) that cost me my belly, I wouldn't change a thing. Please understand that we are talking about KY here, so logic and legalities pretty much are ignored. I could write a book about divorce in KY, but I feel sure the Government would take that too. I am reaching the end here, and have not even scratched the surface. Hint:At a meeting in 2000 with KY child support officials who also administer the assistance programs, I was told to throw myself under a bus because I coud never pay this-in front of her supervisor. I know I am looking for a LOT OF HELP, but I really have no choice. Even having a college degree in Accounting, no one will hire me because of this issue. I was planning on going back to work last August when my mother became ill and had to move in with us. She was placed under hospice in September and passed away in our home the weekend after Thanksgiving.

Then my teenage son got arrested and we had to pay an attorney and court cost. He did not go to jail and has straightened up considerably since then. Hopefully it scared him enough to stay out of trouble, but that is the one reason I don't want to leave him alone during the day.

I am sure I am not the only one stressed about money, it would just be really nice if I didn't have to be. Any contributions would be greatly appreciated.

My shopping was complete. All I had left to do was to write the letters to the police, fire and ambulance department-mail those and write a letter to my Mum.

I just couldn't take anymore pain. In one year, I lost my house, divorced, lost the use of both of my arms and sank into a deep, dark depression. The pain inside my heart was so great that the only thing I could think of was to make myself feel physical pain to match. It sounds absurd, but when you're in that much pain, nothing makes a great deal of sense.

So in a thick fog, I began to give away my favorite things, briefly visited old friends and planned my suicide. The big stumbling blocks were my cat and my Mum. Unless you love animals, you won't understand how finding a home for a pet could be an important issue, but this cat was special. Unable to have children, this cat was more like a son to me than a feline. No, I didn't dress him in fancy clothes, but we shared a bond that felt very special. I racked my brains trying to think where he could go because my very best friends would have taken him, but were allergic to pets. I was hurting so badly and my thinking was so muddy that I couldn't find an answer to the problem of finding him a home.

The next big issue was my Mum. Even though my thoughts were so unclear, the pain so great and depression overwhelming, I knew my Mum would blame herself if I committed suicide. That was why I was writing to the various
"rescue" departments; I couldn't let my Mum find my body. I thought if I wrote to three of them, even Canada Post was unlikely to lose all the letters. The key to my house would be under the mat, my neighbourhood was safe and with the bathroom window open to allow the chilly air inside, I thought my body would "last" a couple of days until they found me. I wanted it to be as tidy and simple for everyone as possible. (Ever the people pleaser!)

But Mum and the cat continued to be a huge problem. A couple of weeks passed by leaving me in more pain and deeper depression. What was I going to do about them?

I taped the poly around the tub, cut holes in it near the drain for my arms to go through and practised inserting my arms in the holes. It all worked just fine.

The depression seemed to recede as the plans progressed leaving me in a complete haze.

As you already know, I didn't go through with the act, but at the time it was an unwelcome choice.

When I realized I couldn't trust the cat to anyone else and that my Mum would be devasted, (no matter how clean the suicide scene), I couldn't do it. That decision may have been "healthy", but it sent me into a tailspin of worsening depression and despair.

Years have gone by since the time I lived non-stop in the darkest pit of my life. I now have a responsible job and with careful health management, my disability is kept at bay and I take medication for the depression.

My financial need is related to the period of disability and dark depression. My utility bills, credit card and personal loan (that I had been managing just fine before the incident)piled up to the point where everything has gone to collections. It's very hard on a person who used to be independent, a proud homeowner, and a responsible contributing member of the community to be in this position. I try not to dwell on it, but the truth is I have no way to pay back the institutions and people to whom I owe money. My current job barely keeps me going right now and paying off old debts is out of the question. I did try taking a second job and worked 7 days a week for a time, but my arm problems came back and my exhaustion deepened the depression I fight every day. I've gone back to just working five days a week, but hate the fact I can't pay anyone back the money they are due.

I feel humbled asking you for help, but I'm trying to learn that there is a reason for all things and perhaps there is something I can learn out of this experience. I'm admitting I need financial help from someone out there. I've learned my lessons the hard way and understand that it isn't always possible to solve every problem by myself.

Thank you for reading my story. Thank you for whatever gift you can share with me. My entire debt tops $21,000 and it scares me, and I still struggle to let go of the non-stop worrying but it doesn't get me anywhere either.

I won't be able to return your financial generousity to the community for the forseable future, but I do practise giving in my own way, with little kindess to others and with my time. This I have always done and will continue to do.

I drive 45 miles to work 1 way just to have a job w/decent salary. I haven't been grocery shopping in 6mo, if I pay the rent or the bills then I can't afford to buy food! The worst is I have 8 payday loans of $300ea just from trying to make ends meet. This is what is really killing me! If I could get the $2400 to pay off those payday loans & not have to re-apply for them, I would be in such a better place! I've tried other loans but my credit sucks. No one is willing to loan a hard working woman some money for a reasonable mo pmt w/a fair interest rate w/o checking the credit! Yes, I am high-risk credit wise, but I have a good heart & a conscious. I'm not looking for a hand out, just a second chance. I feel like I am going to have a heart attack! When it was just my oldest son around we were able to do a switch shift with each other and watch our son. We can only afford to have our son attend daycare once a week. My husband is a baker at a local Grocery Store and he has worked there for 4 years. He's a hard worker and is a great father, but no matter how hard he works we are not able to pay all the bills. We don't want to lose our home, and we just want to do our best to provide for our kids. Anything would be helpful even if it just covers our electric bill and groceries.

I am truly blessed in the way of family but unfortunately, that does not pay the bills, if it did, I'd be RICH! I've been thru many ups & downs w/my family & many scary situations. I have almost lost my husband a few times & we just lost one of our beloved Rottweilers, Nikita, a couple weeks ago to an unexpected, sudden stroke, I've been homeless, jobless, auto less, hungry, hurt, and talked about, but something always gives. I always help people when I can. I & my husband have the biggest hearts, especially when it comes to kids & animals. Pastor Antoni says she is lying and is a criminal, but I did not want to believe him, so I kept treating her like she is real and worrying about her starving to death over there. So now because of her, (Fola) I had to end up dropping even my sponsored children I was sponsoring at children international, because I believed she had nobody else but me, AND SHE ALWAYS MANAGED TO MAKE ME THINK IT WAS A MATTER OF LIFE OR DEATH THAT I SENT HER MONEY, AND I THOUGHT AT LEAST OTHER PEOPLE MIGHT CARE FOR THESE CHILDREN, BUT FOLA HAS NOBODY!! I work full time as an office manager for a privately owned chiropractic office. Our combined income is barely enough to survive & w/costs rising, it is getting harder to live. Everything is past due or already cut off: 15k/medical; 5k/credit cards; $106/water; $122/propane; $176/phone; $172/cable; $70/electric; $1250/rent; $2483/IRS. Gas prices are killing me! I drive 45 miles to work one-way just to have a job w/decent salary. I haven't been grocery shopping in 6mo; if I pay the rent or the bills then I can't afford to buy food! The worst and most regrettable of my debt is I got caught up in the vicious cycle of payday loans just trying to provide for my family’s needs! I have 7 payday loans of $300 each. This is what is really killing me! If I could get the $2100 to pay off those payday loans & not have to re-apply for them, I would be in such a better position to pay my monthly household bills, buy my husbands medications and actually go grocery shopping! I've tried to get other loans but my credit is horrible as you can imagine. Anonymous said...: My niece has a congenital heart defect and she is in need of open heart surgery. She is 19 years old and she lives with her parents. She is the third from the oldest of 8 children, the youngest sibling being 3 years old.

After she began having chest pains, her doctor told her that she needs to have surgery immediately or she risks having heart failure and possibly dying. Her mother is a homemaker, and her father's earnings are not enough to feed the whole family. She was going to college but she has to stop because of symptoms the congenital heart defect is now causing. She has chest pains and gets short of breath even with a little exertion. She is a courageous young lady and she hopes to get a chance to get the surgery, medications, and other treaments afterwards.

Her father does not have health insurance for an expensive surgery such as this. Please help her and save her life. This is the only hope her family has since the doctor told her she will need at least $20,000 for the open heart surgery alone. Otherwise, the hole in her heart is getting bigger. Without it her prognosis is dim.

I to take it because some income is better than no income. The income does help out, I begin to start to catch up to be behind. Two months into job, laid off due to ... you guessed it economy. My used car endured the 200 mile roundtrip and finally died. Here is the need - first and foremost I have to purchase a car to get to and from interviews and to work with my future employer. I'm not looking for a new car. A new car means higher insurance rates etc. Just another reliable means of transportation. Please help me buy toiletries said...: I recently hit rock bottom and became homeless. On June 13th,2008 I had an accident which resulted in an emergency room visit, surgery, several doctors visits, and currently I have to see an Occupational Therapist 3-4 times per week which is very expensive. My medical bills are at about $12,000.00 and rising with every passing day. I am being harassed about my bills and I have no insurance, nor does my boyfriend. The town we live in is basically an oil field and coal mining community so, there are not a lot of options for women. I was previously waitressing but, I can't even do that now because I have no use of my right/dominate hand and am told that I may not be able to use it for up to a year. I am also experiencing some problems which may lead to me having to have another surgery. I have been and continue to look for work however, no one really wants to hire someone who has an injury and can't use both hands. I guess I don't blame them but, what is a person supposed to do? My relationship with my boyfriend is on the rocks and I am under an extreme amount of pressure and dealing with depression because of my financial situation as well as carrying all of the weight and responsibility of taking care of his grandmother.I am trapped. I can't get out of this situation due to no funds. I am flat broke. I have never felt so helpless in my life. I have tried finding grants, seeking non-profit groups, asking for help from family services,trying to get temporary disability,etc.I am glad that I can at least chicken-peck at my keyboard with my left hand to plead for help from strangers(sarcastic). I have never asked for help before but, any previous pride that I may have had is null and void. This has proved to be quite tricky, as my experience and my resume are fairly specialized. My father once mentioned that the son of one of his coworkers was teaching English in Korea. One day while searching on Monster.com, I saw an ad for teaching in Korea. I decided to do some research on the job possibilities, and I liked what I saw. I started researching recruiters, because many of them are rather unscrupulous, and finally chose one. He has been guiding me along in the process, helping me acquire the proper documentation and letting me know what to expect.

After speaking with the recruiter, I have decided to narrow my search to Seoul, the largest city in Korea and fifth largest city in the world. It's going to be quite a change from Venice! I am very excited, but I know that I will need some help getting over there. The good thing about these jobs, is that they will pay for your airfare and your housing. This will allow me to save a lot of money while I am over there. Unfortunately, the first paycheck I receive won't be until the end of my first month.

This is why I am asking for your help. I need money in order to purchase the things needed for my trip to Korea, as well as things I will need to buy when I get there. I don't really want to put all of this financial burden on my parents.

Here are some examples of the expenses:

-Clothing (Korea has four distinct seasons, plus it is hard to find clothing in my size)

Here is my story. I started selling things on ebay as just a hobby back in 2003. While I was attending college ebay was a great mean of income for me. After college I got a job working for Cox Business Services as a tech support customer service rep. The position started out as a temp position helping out the Katrina customers. This temp position went on for approx 7 months at which point the manager asked me if I would like to continuum doing tech support for a tier 3 position in the same office. I was very happy and accepted that temp position. I then worked in that position for an additional 9 months. (I was making really good money (take home $720 a week ) I was able to provide for my family. (Myself, husband and our 3 kids) During this time I was still doing ebay but only as a part time basis. In January of 2007 I was offered a full time position at the company I had been temping for. I accepted the position and went through the regular process of background employment.
Well guess what, I was fired before I could even start my job. ;-( You see I have a felony that occurred in 1999 and because I had not disclosed that fact they could not hire me. Obviously I am a great employee and I knew how to do my job otherwise they would of NEVER asked me to work for them on a non temp basis. This felony has RUINED my life and it is not even something really bad. I was charged with a drug charge because when I got pulled over they found some on the floor of my back seat and no one claimed it was theirs so they charger the driver ( me) with it.
So the good this is when I got fired I was able to get unemployment for a while. I decided I would take that time to go full speed on my ebay business. My ebay business did really good and things seems to be looking up. I filed taxes as self employed for the whole year of 2007 and my income after ALL business expense was $24,000. ( Not as much money as the previous year working for Cox but also not bad for working for yourself ) I managed to take care of myself and our family.
Things started to get really rough for me in April of this year (2008) when I was shopping at a local( 30 minutes away ) AJ-Wright with my 3 year old. When I came out of the parking lot someone had stolen my car (1999 Ford Taurus) That really sucked, I had no way home and I was stuck in the rain with my daughter. We did have insurance and we were hoping that we would get a payout so we could purchase another car but the insurance decided that the car was not worth much and only gave us $250.
At this time we were without transportation, we needed to act fast. We used up our savings and purchased a mini-van, registered the mini-van and it seems like everything went downhill from there.
In the mist of things I was still doing ebay and things were ok but as the only source of income bills were priority and I neglected to make my payments to ebay for the ebay fees. ( on average my monthly fees for both ebay and paypal were around $1000)

Ebay has now closed my account for failure to make payment. I owe ebay approximately $2290.00

Hello. My name is Jennifer. My family became homeless as of 09/01/2008. We are in a desperate situation that we know we will never be able to overcome without some help. If it was just me, I would struggle and do what I needed to do to survive; but I have 2 children and a sick husband to worry about.

I am a wife, mother, step-mother, & Grandmother. My husband & I have both worked very hard to support our family. But after his accident in June of 2002, our income DRASTICALLY decreased & we were forced to file for Bankruptcy. Then in November of 2002, my husband suffered his first of 6 heart attacks. He has had three angioplasties; his last one was in November of 2006. He's a Diabetic w/heart problems & back problems & is struggling w/depression & anxiety issues due to his inability to provide for his family like he used to. He visits the doctor on a monthly basis and is hospitalized on the average of seven times per year. He takes 10 pills & 4 insulin shots daily which are not cheap. Unfortunately Medicare don’t cover much anymore! Due to his health he is disabled. I work full time as an office manager for a privately owned chiropractic office. Our combined income is barely enough to survive & w/costs rising, it is getting harder to live.

I've tried everything to get a personal loan but my credit is at it's worse! I'm not looking for a hand out, just a second chance. If anyone reading our story is willing to loan us $3000.00, we would greatly appreciate it and be willing to make reasonable monthly payments w/interest. This money will cover the cost for us to move into a place of our own again.

I've been thru many ups & downs w/my family & many scary situations. Like any family, we have our good times and our bad times. I have almost lost my husband a few times but thankfully, God decided it wasn’t his time to go yet.

We always help people when we can. We have the biggest hearts, especially when it comes to kids & animals. We've been fortunate enough in our lifetime to be able to help raise our nieces & nephews, take in homeless families & rehabilitate sick animals. Now my family needs help but we have no one to turn to; usually it's others turning to us. Even in our time of need, we are willing to help others if we can.

If everyone reading our story is generous enough to donate $1, $5 or more, then maybe we will be able to reach our goal. Again, $3,000.00 would cover our moving costs, but whatever the amount, every little bit helps and it will put us in a better situation than we are now. I don't expect the full amount to just be handed to us, unless it is a loan offer of course. The quicker we reach our goal, the quicker my baby girl and my son will be home with their mommy and daddy.

I believe that God only gives people as much as they can handle, so he must think I am a very strong person. I still have my faith; I have to for the sake of my children and husband. I believe GOD will send a hero our way to help us out.

I am twenty year old college student, majoring in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I was able to get enough scholarships to get college completely paid for, and have a little bit extra to pay my bills (but it’s not quite enough). I have worked really hard to get where I am in life, and I think I’ve achieved a great deal so far, but I am in a position where I need help now. I’ve never really asked for help before, and I have always been very determined to do everything on my own, but it’s not so easy right now.
For one thing, it’s kind of a miracle that I got to college, let alone got so many scholarships and I am still doing so well. My childhood was a rough one, and I think that most people in my situation would not have done so well. I don’t really want to go into too many details (I will if you feel like you need them). For now, let just say that I had an alcoholic father (my parents got divorced because of it) and a bipolar mother who wouldn’t take her medication. For most of my life one or both or them were unemployed. I had many experiences with near homelessness and was homeless for a couple years in high school. Life was always very chaotic and unstable. I basically had to raise myself. My parents’ extreme poverty drove me to work as hard as I could to escape their lifestyle and the stress that accompanies it. At a very young age I realized that my education would be the only thing that would help me rise above their troubles. So I have been very dedicated to working hard to make my future better.
I started working as early I as I could, so I could have money to buy important things like food (my dad was bad about spending the little money we got on beer and cold medicine (to overdose and get high on). I worked really hard all through school to make sure I could get scholarships, because I knew there was no way I would be able to go to college without them.
So, after a lot of hard work I made it to college (a rather good one, too), with lots of scholarships. I have been on the Dean’s List with High Honors every semester except for one (the other one I made the Dean’s List with Honors). During my first year of college, I felt really unsure about what I wanted to, and I almost ended up dropping out, but I decided to stick with it, and I finally figured out what I’m supposed to be doing. So now I’m majoring in Early Childhood and Elementary Education, because I need to be teaching. I love what I’m doing, and I feel like I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be. My first two years of college were rather rough and stressful. Each semester I was taking between 17 to 20 hours of classes, and working 2 or 3 different jobs (because my tuition refund isn’t quite enough for my bills). Working 2 to 3 jobs was a bit easier then, because my classes weren’t as demanding. This semester (and the next 3) is very different though. I’m taking 19 hours of classes, but they have gotten very demanding. I go to class all day, and then I come home and have at least 5 hours of homework every night, then my weekend it full of more homework. I’ve been trying to make my refund stretch, but it’s not working out quite as well as I’d hoped. I would love to have a job to make up the difference, but I literally have no time for one. I rarely even take a break from homework. And the next three semesters will be the same. I really love learning, and I really excited about being a teacher. I would love to just be able to focus on school and doing a good job teaching and writing lesson plans, and not have to stress out about money.
So I was looking at the numbers, and I figured out that if I had about $20,000, my life would be about as close to perfect as it could possibly get.
Here’s what I need it for:
$4,500 – Online Classes, Textbooks, and Additional Teaching Books and Resources: I some online classes I need to take (so I can get in all the classes I need within 4 years of college, otherwise, I’ll have to take out students loans, because all of my scholarships are only good for 4 years). My textbooks are getting really expensive now. And I have discovered that there are a lot of extra teaching books and resources that my teachers are recommending that would be incredibly helpful for writing good lesson plans.
$7,000 – Will Pay Off the Loan I Had to Take Out for Hospital Bills: The first bill (which was the biggest one) was for an accident where I passed out (I didn’t know I was hypoglycemic at the time and my blood sugar was really, really low). I busted my forehead open (ended up with 12 stitches). I got rushed to the emergency room and they did lots of tests. I ended up being a really expensive trip, and I found out afterward (when I was at the pharmacy getting an antibiotic prescription filled) that I my health insurance wasn’t good anymore. If I had know that, I wouldn’t have gone to the hospital at all… This happened very early in my freshman year of college and has been hanging over my head ever since. The other incident wasn’t quite as bad because I had health insurance at the time, but co-pays added up. I dislocated my knee cap the summer after my freshman year. It was really bad and I had to have a lot of physical therapy. I wasn’t really able to work for about a month and half because of it (I had been working at a tree and plant nursery and delivering pizzas). So on top of the co-pays for the doctor visits and physical therapy, it really screwed up my finances that summer and the following year.
$3,500 – Credit Card Debt: Most of this is from the summer I just mentioned, where I wasn’t able to work. Also, from things like textbooks.
$5,000 – Pay off my car. This would just help a lot, in general.
$2,000 – A really nice new laptop. Mine is not working very well and is infected with a really bad virus. I would like a good quality one that I can use to finish up school, and then continue to use when I start teaching.
$500 - $1,000 – A new wardrobe of good, professional looking clothes and shoes that will look for student teaching then teaching.
$1,000 – Get my wisdom teeth removed – They’re hurting a lot and need to come out. I don’t have insurance 
$500 - $1000 – I would like to give all of my little sisters (I have three of them) a really nice Christmas, for once.

I guess, most importantly, if I can get my big debts paid off soon, my tuition refund would be enough to cover all of my normal bills. So I could really just focus on school, doing a good job teaching, and keeping my GPA up so I can keep my scholarships.
So, please, if you’re feeling generous, help me out. I would really appreciate some help. Any donation would make a tremendous difference.

However I have 14 credit cards and the total on those is $36,798.38 as of today Nov. 3, 2008. My monthly payments all added together for credit card debt is about $700 a month. And my school loans total $36,000 as of this semester.
I know it is my fault for racking that much debt up, but I am just trying to survive. I don't have anything nice to show for it, just gas in my car and a roof over my head. I am using my schools computer, I don't waste my money on the internet.
I don't want to not make it through nursing because of this weight of debt and I don't want collection agencies coming after me, I already have two.

If anyone can help please please help us, I give you my word I will give back once we are given the chance. The solution is pretty simple! Create a paid entry directory with search by postcode capabilites which also offers members webspace to upload a gallery of previous work. By pooling the subscription fees to buy advertising for the site in UK national papers It will have a lot of reach for members to help them find work.

As a form of advertising the subscription fee would also be tax deductable, costing members nothing in the long run. It's basically a simple idea but it will cost £10,000 to get it up and running. All is explained on my website:
