The recent economic issues that have surfaced in the world have been very difficult for me with the business that I am running. I own and operate an automotive parts and accessories retailer. They say if you don't work, you don't eat ! But when you work and you can still barely feed your family its hard on your mentally to see that...
We are a large family and we have recently went down to one income due to this horrible economy. And just because when it rains it pours, we had to move in September after finding out we were dealing with untruthful homeowners, so with losing income, gaining extra expenses that put us in an emergency situation with having to scramble, coming up with all the money moving involves with 1st, last and deposit on top of Utility deposits, truck etc.... So we are still trying to climb this uphill battle...
But we are making decisions between food and bills,... this bill over that bill..etc..
So we have sat down and looked at our skills, interests, resources, network and will be starting a small business, starting at home, so we keep expenses low, not have daycare expenses, and build and upgrade as we grow and build our business. So starting small from home works for us for many reasons.
With providing a service, it saves us on needing inventory and such things, but we still need some basic equipment and to cover the filing fees so that we are legal and legit.
So I am seeking $100 for one filing fee, at least $500 to get some basic starter equipment and supplies that I will need.

I am a wife and a mommy of three, I have been a homemaker and a housewife doing things from home here and there to bring in that little extra to go with my husbands income. While running the household.

After three wonderful years in business as a tour operator, the economy has taken its toll on me as well. My customers are having to tighten their belts which translates into lower sales for me. If it worked I would have been a hero, it didn't. I spent all of 2008 trying to play catch-up, paying for the under performing product, chasing the product that my customers wanted and paying for my reoccurring business expenses. Needless to say, the company only got deeper in the hole. At the same time I watched my personal credit score drop due to the fact that I was living off my Credit Cards.
After nearly five years in business, I have learned from my successes and my experiments. By my experience with customers and sales history, I know exactly what merchandise that I need to succeed. I have a strong customer base with opportunity for growth. My store is the only full service women's shoe store in the County with fantastic growth potential once it is merchandised properly. I am a small business owner in rural Arkansas. My community is strapped and the tourism is slow. I fell ill three months into my adventure in 2006 and finally had open heart surgery in November of 2008. The recent economic issues that have surfaced in the world have been very difficult for me with the business that I am running. I own and operate an automotive parts and accessories retailer. I have ended up going in the red over $150k, which is directly attached to my personal credit. I have taken a job with another company at the same time to stay afloat, and what doesn't keep me alive pays my employees and business expenses. Getting further into debt is not an option.

We are a large family and we have recently went down to one income due to this horrible economy. And just because when it rains it pours, we had to move in September after finding out we were dealing with untruthful homeowners, so with losing income, gaining extra expenses that put us in an emergency situation with having to scramble, coming up with all the money moving involves with 1st, last and deposit on top of Utility deposits, truck etc.... So we are still trying to climb this uphill battle...
But we are making decisions between food and bills,... this bill over that bill..etc..
So we have sat down and looked at our skills, interests, resources, network and will be starting a small business, starting at home, so we keep expenses low, not have daycare expenses, and build and upgrade as we grow and build our business. So starting small from home works for us for many reasons.
With providing a service, it saves us on needing inventory and such things, but we still need some basic equipment and to cover the filing fees so that we are legal and legit.
So I am seeking $100 for one filing fee, at least $500 to get some basic starter equipment and supplies that I will need.
As well as gift cards to Office Depot to help towards supplies will help, and used supplies and equipment that you can deliver or send will be appreciated.

I am a wife and a mommy of three, I have been a homemaker and a housewife doing things from home here and there to bring in that little extra to go with my husbands income. While running the household.
We have hit some hard bumps since relocating to a state where we have no family and know very little people here as well.
But we like it here, and once the rough spots smooth out in this economy I feel that this will be home for us.

After three wonderful years in business as a tour operator, the economy has taken its toll on me as well. My customers are having to tighten their belts which translates into lower sales for me. I tried to attract additional customers that did not fit my customer base, while keeping my basic "shoe profile"; I took my merchandise mix in too many different directions. If it worked I would have been a hero, it didn't. I spent all of 2008 trying to play catch-up, paying for the under performing product, chasing the product that my customers wanted and paying for my reoccurring business expenses. Needless to say, the company only got deeper in the hole. At the same time I watched my personal credit score drop due to the fact that I was living off my Credit Cards.
After nearly five years in business, I have learned from my successes and my experiments. By my experience with customers and sales history, I know exactly what merchandise that I need to succeed. I have a strong customer base with opportunity for growth. My store is the only full service women's shoe store in the County with fantastic growth potential once it is merchandised properly. As simple as this sounds, by merchandising the store with the correct inventory, implementing a few aggressive and consistent Marketing Campaigns, and fiscal restraint, I can begin to grow this business again. I need someone to be able to understand my passion for this business and my vision for the future. My wife and I have turned to our families for help, and they have nothing left. We have a 8 month old little boy who we love very much, and we don't know what to do. We are very hard working people and we are working 18 hours a day 7 days a week, and we are about to lose our home. We owe about $250,000 with a $2000 payment each month, it is due tomorrow or they will take our home and business. We have $40,000 in other bills that are killing us on interest causing us to have nothing. We have $200 between the 2 of us. We are very simple people we wear worn out clothes and drive old worn out cars. We have nothing left. All we have is each other and we love each other very much. Ever since I was a freshman in high school, I have always wanted to run my own business, especially an online clothing store. I really believe it is my dream to open one, and I love fashion. I've been planning my online store for 5 years! Now that I have the time, I just need a little bit of start-up funds. I am not only opening up the store just so I can make money, but because I can feel like I'm my own boss. Plus, small businesses help the economy!
Because I am a graphic designer, I already have a site design set up. I just need an expert, certified web designer to set everything up and install the shop's backend and shopping cart scripts into the site. As you can see from my current website, it's incomplete, and needs more work cding, which I cannot do without an expert. I've requested quotes from more than 5 companies, and the range is about $500-$2000..
I also need funds to actually start up everything, including ordering the actual clothes from wholesale and upgrading my web hosting to the appropriate level. My father does not support me because he does not believe I should be owning my own business. My mother, on the other hand, fully does, and is willing to help me out as much as she can. The problem is, she works as a waitress, and there is not much income for that.
I really believe I am capable of running my own business, and I have positive insight on it.

Unemployed, starting green business that saves our forests. Loggers are very wasteful and leave all the small logs under 16 inches in diameter in the timber. This is because very few sawmills process these smaller logs. But have found a way to utilize this valuable resource thus reducing the number of trees that have to be cut.
