With great humility we are writing this letter. We have been under
excessive stress with our 16-year-old son John. Over the past 4-1/2
years we have had tremendous struggle with him. Our homes became an
empty house full of negative energy with constant battles. We tried
many different options with him and finally had to send him to a
behavioral based Christen School in January of 2007.

We are writing to you in time of need. We have an opportunity to keep
him in a facility that will help him deal with his behavioral issues.
The principle behind this facility is for the student to learn the
importance of rules, self worth, hard work and living productively in
society. The facility appears to be an excellent fit.

Benefits for us as parents are support groups and continuing parent
education seminars. At local support groups, parents have shared
their stories of success and growth. These stories are very inspiring
and give us hope.

The one challenge is the financial end. The cost per year for this
facility is approx. $40,000 annually, which includes: room & board,
tuition, meals, uniforms, evaluation, and counseling (both individual
and group). The minimum stay is 14-18 months. As you can imagine the
budget is already stretched to its capacity. Unfortunately, we are
only able to come up with a mere fraction of what is necessary.

We are calling on you now for two reasons. First, our family needs
your prayers. It is only by the grace of God and the many prayers
from you that we are able to continue and make these tough decisions
on our son's behalf. Second, any financial assistance you can give.
We realize this is asking a lot. However, please pray about it and
think of it as an investment in our son's future. No small amount is
too small and no large amount is too large.

Our fear in sending this letter is that you may find this offensive.
However, the true fear of losing our child at the age of 17 is far
greater, especially if we didn't do all we could to help prevent it.
We approach you in an honest and sincere direction. We need to act
now to help our family.

No matter if you donate or not, we thank you all for listening,
sending your prayers and providing us support.

Please email me if you think you can help. Thank you for reading my
story please pass this along, our family and son are at stake.

Jim Wheeler and Annette Garza

Please help me help my son and correct a travesty of justice in the process!!
For 9 years I was abused, raped, put down and tortured by the monster who eventually fathered my son. After I gave birth I realized that if we stayed with this monster that my beautiful, wonderful, innocent little boy would surely turn into a carbon copy of the monster who fathered him. His father is manipulative, mean, dishonest, cruel, has no remorse and views all the people in his world as chess pieces to be moved towards his own devices, I did NOT want my son to turn into this.
So, we left, on July 4th, 2005. (I clearly cared more for my son's well-being that I did about my own, else I would have left much sooner!)
We fled to another state, under the care of my brother, where I felt we would be safe from the monster's threats, since he had threatened to take my son from me and never let me see him again on SEVERAL occasions. He had even gone so far as to threaten to KILL my child, simply to spite me, should I try to leave with my baby.
The monster tried calling over and over, alternately begging and threatening, trying to get us to come back to him but I was steadfast and refused (well, honestly I wavered a tiny bit, but then I thought about my baby boy and was emboldened again). Finally in October, 2005, tired of the constant calling and harassment, I flatly told the monster that there was "NO WAY" we were coming back to him, or to Tennessee, and that he was more than welcome to come to South Carolina to see his son, under professional supervision, because of his prior threats but that WE and our relationship was OVER.
Days later he filed for full custody of my son, in Tennessee. The court battle ensued and because he had so dictated my life, my associations and everything about me, he was able to get 9 witnesses to testify in the case against me, while I was able to only get my immediate family. He even convinced the woman who had professed to be my "best friend" to switch sides and testify against me. Each and every one of his witnesses lied through their teeth about me, about my parenting, about my character and past. Ridiculous stuff too, things they contradicted themselves in. His entire side's testimony was a parade of fools and a total waste of the court's time.
Finally it was our turn to counter the allegations and the only witnesses I had for my side were myself and my father as my mother has a heart condition and I did not want her to die of a stress induced heart attack on the witness stand. We put up a good fight and we were honest but apparently the judge was just so sick and tired of the case by the time that we got up there that she was tuning out everything we said. She even refused to hear about the abuse I had suffered for all those many years, even though the Tennessee Bench Book on Domestic Violence states that in a custody proceeding the judge must hear all allegations of abuse in order to effectively determine the best environment for the child, as I later learned through my research trying to figure out a way to fix what happened next.
In the judge's decision she set out a visitation schedule that has appalled every child development expert, therapist, lawyer and fellow parent I have spoken to about this situation. Although I retained legal custody the judge ordered that from the first Friday through the second Sunday of EVERY MONTH my son, who was 2 at the time, go visit his father, in Tennessee. That is NINE DAYS STRAIGHT a month away from me. At the time this order was passed down my child had not been apart from me for longer than 12 hours at a time in his entire life! And this visitation is in ADDITION to four WEEKS in the summer months and another extra week at Christmas as well as other assorted holidays etc.
If you know anything about child psychology or child development you know that this is HORRIBLY detrimental to a child's sense of belonging, place, and security. I have been since watching my son break down, right before my eyes, and I am helpless to stop it. If I stop the visitation I will be placed in contempt and they will swear out a warrant for my arrest. My poor child who was so good, so sweet and honest and caring now is beginning to be just as hateful, angry and manipulative as his monster father. My three year old lies to my face, hits me and himself, acts out wildly and in general is out of control for a solid week after EVERY VISIT with his father. It is torture for him, and for me.
I ask that you PLEASE give to our lawyer fund, so that we can try to get this travesty of justice corrected before it's too late for my little boy. I am working a second job that I'm only working during visitations, to add to the lawyer fund. I've asked all our friends and family to donate to it in lieu of a Christmas present for me. But it's still not enough.
We can't afford a lawyer's retainer on my income and still pay our bills or eat so we need your help! We need at least $2000 to get this going. I've got $100 so far.
Please give! Please help this parent fight for her child!

All I want for Christmas is my son OK. Please help grant my Christmas wish.

My Aunt passed suddenly without life insurance.

The entire family has contributed everything we have right now, but we're still $200 short.

I have a website where I'm selling anything and everything I can. Normally I wouldn't do this, but services are Friday night and I'm at the end of my rope.

The church has already given us all the help they can.

I just don't know what else to do. My family would appreciate any help we can get right now. Even if it's only prayers.

Thanks for listening.

I have posted on the 'BEGSLIST HELP BOARD (PayPal Buttons allowed)' but hope to get more people to see my situation by posting here too.

I am a 27 year old single mom that has recently gotten out of a horribly abusive/controlling 8 year relationship/marriage. I have no job (I was never "allowed" to have one so i don't have any experience to get one) I have no money, I am 4 months pregnant with my 2nd child & I am staying in a womens shelter currently.
I need help so I can get back on my feet and take care of my kids properly.
This is not joke or scam, I am for real so please help!

Hello. My name is Jennifer. I am requesting assistance for the sake of my family because I am in a situation that I know I will never be able to overcome without some help from our Guardian Angel. I am a Wife, Mom, Step-mom, Ninamom, & Grandmother. My husband & I have both worked very hard to support our family. But after his accident in June of 2002, our income DRASTICALLY decreased & we were forced to file for Bankruptcy. Then in November of 2002, my husband suffered his first of 6 heart attacks. He has had three angioplasties; his last one was in November of 2006. He's a Diabetic w/heart problems & back problems & is struggling w/depression & anxiety issues due to his inability to provide for his family like he used to. He visits the doctor on a monthly basis and is hospitalized about seven times per year. He takes 10 pills & 4 insulin shots daily which are not cheap! Due to his health he is disabled. I work full time as an office manager for a privately owned chiropractic office. Our combined income is barely enough to survive & w/costs rising, it is getting harder to live. Everything is past due or already cut off: 15k/medical; 5k/credit cards; $106/water; $122/propane; $176/phone; $172/cable; $70/electric; $1250/rent; $2483/IRS. Gas prices are killing me! I drive 45 miles to work one-way just to have a job w/decent salary. I haven't been grocery shopping in 6mo; if I pay the rent or the bills then I can't afford to buy food! The worst and most regrettable of my debt is I got caught up in the vicious cycle of payday loans just trying to provide for my family’s needs! I have 7 payday loans of $300 each. This is what is really killing me! If I could get the $2100 to pay off those payday loans & not have to re-apply for them, I would be in such a better position to pay my monthly household bills, buy my husbands medications and actually go grocery shopping! I've tried to get other loans but my credit is horrible as you can imagine. No one is willing to loan a hard working woman some money for a reasonable monthly payment and fair interest rate without checking my credit! I'm not looking for a hand out, just a second chance. I try to remind myself that no matter how bad we have it, someone out there has it worse. I am truly blessed in the way of family but unfortunately, that does not pay the bills, if it did, I'd be RICH! I've been thru many ups & downs w/my family & many scary situations. I have almost lost my husband a few times but thankfully, God decided it wasn’t his time to go yet. I've been homeless, jobless, auto less, hungry, hurt, and talked about, but something always gives. I always help people when I can. I & my husband have the biggest hearts, especially when it comes to kids & animals. We have been fortunate enough to help raise our nieces & nephews, take in homeless families & rehabilitate sick animals. Now it’s my family’s turn to receive help. My favorite quote: "Be Generous & You Will Be Prosperous. Help Others & You Will Be Helped." Proverbs 11:25. I believe there is a guardian angel out there willing to help me, maybe he/she will read this plea & agree to help my family out in some way; every little bit helps. I can be reached by email at carterclub@hotmail.com - And I do have a pay pal account under the same email address as well. I believe that God only gives people as much as they can handle, so he must think I am a very strong person. I still have my faith & hope for the sake of my children; they did not ask for this and they don’t deserve to be homeless and hungry. Will you be our Guardian Angel? Thank you for taking the time to read my story – God Bless You.

Hi mi name is Snjezana from Bosnia and Herzegovina city of Mostar.
I’m 50 years old mother of three children, in very bed
Financial situation and I want to ask all of you good people around the world to help mi.
Mi story is that I already live in poor country so even if I work as a housecleaner I can’t pay mi basic bills and bank credits.
I had a cancer operation on mi neck (so I shouldn’t work at all), ten years ago and have to pay for medicals for the rest of my life. My husband is suffering from PTSP and has been wounded in the Leg, in war that ended before thirteen years so he can’t work at all. He does have some income for the wound but that is not even nearly enough. I have little daughter, she is thirteen, and I have to pay for her school to. I do have two grownup sons, one is in Germany he is married and he sends as much as he can (he is 31). The other son is here with us he is studying and working when he can (he is 26).We are known as a good and religious family. So in short all of my problems could be solved if I finish the construction of my house and transformed it in to pension (the income is almost guaranteed) with four rooms and that would be just enough to cover my bills. The house is in really beautiful place near the famous Old Bridge In town Mostar but the house was ruined in war. To accomplished all that is mentioned I need between 50.000$ to 70.000$. If you want to write mi and please do, you can do it on snjezana.kasumovic@hotmail.com so I can give you more info about mi life or how much did I gather so far…
It really doesn’t meter how much will you send, it could be 0.10c or 10$ or something but it could make a great difference to mi better and livable life. With this earnings that I have today I barely have enough for food not to mention close and other stuff that makes life livable.
I would like to ask you for one more favor, if you are unable or just don’t want to help for any reason, then you can at least refer mi to somebody else or to some other page were it would be appropriate because mine knowing in computing is really poor and mine English is not any better either.
I thank you honestly for your patience and for reading.
I really hope that some good people will respond to mi.
I wish you all good and god blesses you all.
You can send yours donations to my pay pal account using my email address.
And I will send my pictures to you if contact me.
Please help me to solve my problems please.

I am writing this letter as I have nowhere else to turn. My husband bought our house 6 years ago. The day we moved in he got a severe concussion and was out of work for a little over 2 months. Due to this, he lost his job. I went back to work (at a minimum wage job) while he continued to look for a new job (it took a little over a year to find one). During this time I got pregnant with our third child. The job he got paid a lot less, but it was work. I had to quit my job for a bit due to complications with the pregnancy. Just when I was scheduled to return to work (literally days before my first scheduled work day), I was rear ended. The injuries I sustained are permanent. 4 surgeries later I know that. Our car had been paid off, but being totalled in the accident, we had to take out a loan to get another used car. just something to get around in. since we have had to take out more in loans than we paid for the car to keep it running. Through all this, we are still behind on bills and couldn't figure out why our family was constantly sick. What we found out is that our house is full of mold and mildew. There is a stream that runs thru the basement all the time (not something that we saw when we bought the house as it was covered up). In order to get rid of the mold, it will cost us $15,000. Anyone that can help would be a huge blessing to us. We have no savings, no retirement, no anything to use as we had to live off what we had when my hubby was hurt. We have outgrown our home, but there is no resale value with the mold problem (we have 4 children and 2 bedrooms). Can anyone please help us? Our paypal is with email address kmkluvs2scrap@yahoo.com

Thank you so much and God Bless.
Kristin
